MIDI PROGRAM CHANGES

Do you know how to use PROGRAM CHANGE commands? Along with the MIDI NOTES, you can also have other BYTES of info called PROGRAM CHANGE commands. For instance to make your track play a piano, you would INSERT a #01 PROGRAM CHANGE command before the first note plays. I'm sure that most decent midi sequencers will recognize PROGRAM CHANGE commands. You can also insert another Pchange in the middle of the song, for instance to change from the piano sound to something else. If that doesn't help you then you might look into the CONTROL PANEL (UNDER MULTIMEDIA) If you have more than a single sound driver installed on your system, it may be necessary FOR YOU to select which sound driver to use. GO START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/MULTIMEDIA/DEVICES/MIDI DEVICES Sometimes it is possible that a sequencer will select an old ADLIB driver (for instance) which is like a 5 year old sound card! You don't want to sound like that!(unless you are doing a weird techno sound)
