Hard Disk Recording Cheaper Than Ever
YOU SAID
..................................................I have a Pentium 90 (please, don't laugh!) All of the stuff that I do right now is MIDI (my computer can't do anything more!) with a Roland XP10 (hey, I got it off my dad... It was cheap!) .................................................
I SAY
I started recording direct 2 disk with only a DX 2-66 486 computer. The important thing is your hard disk speed and HD SIZE. Most important you should also have a way to back up those large music .wav files. At first I had ERASABLE OPTIO MAGNETO, but now I use cdr to back up and I have 2 PHYSICAL hard disks (not just partitions) to backup WORKS IN PROGRESS . When I get about 650 megs worth of work done then I cut a CDR. (I don't have erasable yet.) I think I will be saving that money for DVD recorder.
SO YOU CAN DO MORE THAN JUST MIDI!
